My mother and friend thoroughly enjoyed our midweek meal at Gandolfi Fish last week. As a Cafe Gandolfi fanatic, whilst I have dined at their sister restaurant in the past, it has been somewhat neglected in favour of the cosy, atmospheric gem that is Cafe Gandolfi.
On this occasion, the restaurant was busy with many celebrating graduation parties. This added to the atmosphere although slowed the pace of a slightly over-stretched waiting staff. We were more than happy to relax, converse and enjoy the surroundings however, and when each course arrived, it was splendid as ever. It may have been nice to be offered some of gandolfi's lovely bread to nibble whilst awaiting our starters, especially as only one of the ladies ate from the pre-theatre menu; only minor quibble on what was a fabulous night.
