Cossachok Restaurant Review

  • Rating Good food but not the friendliest (Rating 3.4/5)
Booked a meal for my birthday but when we arrived they didn't seem to have us booked in. We got a table and within a few minutes we had been asked by three different waiters if we wanted drinks/we're ready to order. A couple of the staff were polite enough but not exactly friendly. Our meal came quickly and was very nice, although my lamb had a lot more bone than meat on it. As soon as we had finished dessert and still had half a drink left someone came to clear the table and asked if we wanted the bill without asking how anything was or if we wanted anything else, which made us feel like we were being kicked out. We left a decent tip anyway, and someone else came to pick that up as we were putting our coats on. We thanked her, she literally said nothing back, picked up the bowl and walked off. I did enjoy the food and it's a lovely restaurant but we did feel a bit underwhelmed when we left just because the service was rushed and was quite unfriendly. I'm not sure if we would return on that basis as we are always really nice customers and feel a bit shortchanged when we don't get the same treatment back.
