First time for me in Arta, though the wife had attended a wedding reception there before.
Decor inside is impressive, as stated, like a mediterranean courtyard though we had to ask where the dining area was.
Staff were friendly and inviting.
Shown to our table and we had booked the 'couples menu'.It was so dark we had to use the torch facility on mobile phone to read the menu.
Choice was somewhat limited so was disappointing but food arrived quickly and tasted fine.
Music started to play and it certainly was not spanish themed it was booming techno style music, it was so loud that you couldn't talk to your partner without raising your voice, very strange choice of music for a spanish styled eaterie and at too high a volume.
It felt more like having something to eat in a nightclub than a restaurant, when past reviews have mentioned spanish music and dancing though I believe that starts later in the evening downstairs.
An elderly couple sitting across from us clearly found the music off putting.
We finished our meal and decided to leave as the music ruined the atmosphere.
We have experienced other tapas bars in the town where choice and atmosphere were superior and so doubt we will return to Arta.
