Arta Review

  • Rating Food was very poor (Rating 1.8/5)
I guess when it comes to quality of food, in most cases, you get what you pay for and the £27 couples deal is certainly a very low price indeed. What’s worrying is that the food we were served is the same as what you would get if ordering from the full price menu (which is really quite expensive). The prawns were rubbery and clearly cooked from frozen, the meatballs were so hard that one almost flew off the plate and the lamb casserole was all fat and gristle. Such a shame because the venue has great potential, but I cant see the restaurant lasting much longer serving food like that. We actually felt quite ill eating it, so we didn’t finish anything and then spent ages trying to flag a waitress so we could pay the bill and leave. The staff were pretty incompetent as well and although the décor and atmosphere was nice, we definitely will not ever be back.
