About ReCESS - Hilton Garden Inn
5* Will be back soon!
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I've awarded Recess 5* as I can't fault it. Everything was first class. Thank you.
Whenever, I decide to take any of my friends out for Afternoon Tea, I always book the Hilton Garden Inn. My reason for this, because not only do they give me lovely fresh sandwiches, with contents that I can eat, their is never a problem with the staff. I have been there three times since the middle of February and will keep going back.
Casual dining beside The Hydro and SEC
Part of the Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow City Centre, Recess is on Finnieston Quay, right by the River Clyde. A casual dining restaurant, it offers panoramic views across the Clyde by day and night. When the sun is shining, the outdoor terrace comes into its own for al fresco dining. Recess’ proximity to the SEC and Hydro makes it very convenient for and popular with diners going to shows and conventions.
Eclectic menu of popular hits
Freshly prepared and made-to-order, dishes in Recess range from a simple soup of the day to Goan chicken curries with a pomegranate and mint raita. You could nibble on some olives, share a ploughman’s board or dig into a superfood salad. There are small plates such as whitebait, Scotch egg or rarebit – perfect for sharing with friends. Alternatively, you could explore the main courses and choices such as fish ‘n’ chips, lamb rump, garganelli pasta and sea bass fillets with a white wine, herbs, olives and pepper stew. The burger selection is always popular. Lighter options include hot and cold gourmet sandwiches. From Eton Mess to the treacle tart, the desserts are traditional.
