We arrived after a long walk in warm weather to be told the restaurant had no record of our booking, despite me showing them a confirmation email. We were offered seats at a bar area, which had glass panels and a glass floor looking into the bar below. This was less than ideal as I was wearing a dress! However, as we had tickets for a show we didn't want to waste more time. 2 waitresses came to take a drinks order before I looked at the drinks menu, when we asked for more time they then stayed away from us for nearly half an hour. When we finally ordered, the white wine I ordered arrived warm and we waited almost an hour for our food. I spoke to the manager and said I found the whole situation unacceptable. She changed my glass of wine and apologised but no further compensation was offered. While we waited, we also saw waitresses taking food to wrong tables, incorrect orders and also walking around with food as if they had no idea where to take the plates. I was extremely disappointed with the service, but when the food did come it was very nice. This is still not enough to convince me to ever return, our experience got an evening I was looking forward to off to a very negative start. Unacceptable, disorganised and I would absolutely not recommended this restaurant.
