Black pudding spring rolls, neeps and tatties was WOW the presentation alone was WOW factor and tasted amazing, staff so attentive, cant wait to go back well recommended.
Very high quality food and pleasant and efficient staff. Would highly recommend.
Relaxed, traditional Italian restaurant in Baillieston
Massimo is an authentic Italian restaurant on the east side of Glasgow, offering freshly-made cuisine in the relaxed, stylish space of the Log Cabin, a local entertainment hub. Décor is contemporary and understated with dark wood flooring, and the atmosphere has the buzz of a popular neighbourhood eatery. Locals gather in numbers for the lunch menu, with options of one, two or three courses, and the Sunday specials.
Italian classics and great pizza
The accent at Massimo is on authenticity in a menu that combines familiar Italian favourites with some less obvious items. Starters include funghi con formaggio caprino, mushrooms with goat’s cheese, and frittura di calamari, squid fried in polenta. Mains offer Italian regional specialities such as Brasato Manzo, braised beef with cabbage and mash, filetto de spigola, sea bass with fennel and tomato, and zuppa di pesca fish soup with chilli, garlic and tomato.
The pizza choice puts the emphasis on quality rather than a long list of toppings, while pasta and risotto dishes follow classic recipes.
