Viva Bothwell Street Review

  • Rating Rating 3.8/5
The restaurant itself is a bit of a walk if you are arriving at Queen Street and the terrible weather and high heel shoes did not help! When we arrived we were quickly shown to our table and they had given me a booth as requested. The restaurant itself was lovely and had a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. The service was quick and the food arrived very quickly. The Bruschetta con Mozarella was very good and my husband had soup of the day which he also said was very nice. The main course was disappointing, we both had the Pollo Viva which was like a fancy chicken Kiev with a tomato sauce. It is stuffed with ham and Mozarella and covered in breadcrumbs but was unfortunately over cooked so was a bit tough round the edges. The restaurant was good value for money and we were only around £35.00 for 2 courses and a glass of white wine and a draft beer after our 30% discount. Would possibly go back (in better weather) but would order something different next time.
