This is the first time I've been to this restaurant and it will not be the last. We arrived early and were happy to wait at the well stocked bar. Our table was ready exactly when we ordered it and our bar drinks were happily carried to the table by the very personable maître d'.
We ordered from the a la carte menu, I selected the mussels in marinara sauce. They were fabulous. Perfectly dressed, perfectly cooked, perfectly fresh in a rich tomato and olive sauce which tasted like a Mediterranean seaside holiday.
I followed with the pollo Sofia which was also delicious, particularly the perfectly balanced in season asparagus and cream sauce.
My better half opted for the mozzarella sticks to start and the 'special' ravioli of chicken and prosciutto, which both met with the approval of her very fine palate.
With attentive staff bringing refills of drinks when needed, we had a fantastic experience at this restaurant and would recommend it highly. With both of us having 2 courses and 2 drinks each, to see a bill of under £50 was a bargain.
