Rating Verona - Great Food, Free Coffee and Excellent Portions - and not a tragedy nor a Capulet or Montague in sight!! (Rating 4.8/5)
When we think of Verona, some of us will think about the double tragedy as in Romeo and Juliet and being forced to read such drivel at high school.
However, I can safely say that Verona is awesome, and the only tragedy is not spotting this place earlier!!
When I booked a table for this place before under their January Sale menu promotion and with lots of free tables on a Friday night, I expected a short menu with lots of catches and small portions.
Well, let me tell you it's anything but. While there where some supplementary fees for meals, these were clearly explained by the staff.
As for the food, well lets just say this, the portions were very generous and tasty. I had a cheesy garlic pizza bread with caramelised red onions for 2 (by myself, well I'm a little greedy) followed by a massive spaghetti bolognese! It's not often I turn down a desert, but I was stuffed and had to have a coffee (which was free) to burn off the excess!
So in short, great food, great service, generous portions, get your backsides off to Verona when you get a chance!! This is what Verona should be remembered for, not a boring tortuous Shakespeare play!!
