This is a pleasant restaurant. I would say that the decor was better than brasserie level and very comfortable. Service was smooth and attentive, if a little on the slow side considering the restaurant was not that busy (5.30pm Saturday). Pate was excellent - very similar to that served by sister restaurant Gamba. Goats cheese and beetroot starter was tasty but the beetroot was slightly hard and there could have been a bit more cheese. Salmon and cheeseburger mains were both very good, pork chop less so. Lighting was a little too dim, my friend got a mouthful of fat because she could not see.
Late and capuccino coffees were good but the plain coffee with milk was too strong. My advice is, if you are going on somewhere else, allow at least an hour and threequarters for the pretheatre menu.
