The Pipers' Tryst Review

  • Rating Good value for money pre-theatre (Rating 4.2/5)
We booked this restaurant for it's location which is just across the road from the Theatre Royal. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. We booked the pre-theatre deal which was fairly good value for money, but the main menu looked more interesting and had more variety. We had soup of the day and pate to start, both of which were delicious. We both had the salmon main which was served with mashed potatoes and a hollandaise sauce. It was a good portion, but we both felt that the dish was lacking a bit in flavour or seasoning. I still finished the whole portion though, so it wasn't that awful! I'd definitely come back here and try out something from the main menu.
