The Pipers' Tryst Review

  • Rating Nice place, nice food, lovely staff but far too slow (Rating 3.4/5)
The title pretty much says it all. I've been here a few times before and was always happy with everything, I'd read a few other reviews that the service was slow but though we've never found that so we'll give it another go. We arrived at 6pm and after prompting got our starters at 6.45pm. If you're not in a hurry its great, but we were going to a concert at 7.30pm so I wasn't too impressed, our main course came promptly so no harm done. The staff were very apologetic and said there were having problems with the till, didn't really impress me cos l don't really care about the til. 10% was taken off the bill by way of an apology, the staff really try hard, l think the problem maybe in the kitchen but who knows. Overall l like the Pipers, the food is nice and so are the staff, but if you're in a hurry make sure you arrive with plenty of time to spare.
