The Western Club Restaurant Review

  • Rating Top class city centre restaurant (Rating 4.8/5)
I went for lunch at the Western Club with a friend who had never been before. I have eaten 4 times at this restaurant and have always had delicious food. Friday was no exception. I had grilled asparagus for starters which was succulent. My main course was duck confit which was perfectly cooked and the meat fell off the bone and was very tasty. The sticky toffee pudding melted in the mouth. A wonderful meal and great value for money at £20 per head including a glass of sparkling wine. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The decor is tasteful and it has a peaceful ambience allowing uninterrupted chat with my friend, who definitely intends to return soon with other friends. There was nothing to criticise and I would certainly return and recommend it to those looking for good food in a pleasant city centre location.
