The presence of a number of staff in this relatively small tea room did not make the service very efficient. The fried fish was fresh and tasty, the tartare freshly prepared. The cakes were a delight. However, for a tearoom, the single bulk standard tea bag in a 3-cup pot was a disappointment, compounded by the addition of further hot water when a fresh supply was requested. The offer of "plenty of tea" to accompany the meal turned out to be an unfortunate let down.
