The Art School Review

  • Rating Lunch at Glasgow school of Art. (Rating 4.8/5)
The environment was typically that of a student refectory which in itself was a refreshing change from many eating places. We were promptly seated at our reserved table by a very friendly young man who immediately took our drinks order plus glasses of water with ice and a slice of lime.....changed days from when my husband was a student there in the fifties !!!! I had expected a very basic menu but that was not the case. The menu was not too extensive but there was a good choice including Lamb with Chorizo and Sea Bass, both of which we tried. We ordered Chicken satay with sweet potato and salad starters - delicious ! The portions were very generous and the food hot, tasty and well presented. We had included a drink with our meal and two good sized glasses of red wine were served . There were many students eating in the refectory enjoying burgers , pizza ,chips etc. all very well priced on the regular menu. The whole visit was great and I would certainly recommend this offer to my friends.
