Food was good but didn't like the fact quite a few of the items entailed extra costs. Were given a menu by the person showing us to our seat, chose what we wanted from this menu and then when our waitress came to take our order, told her what we wanted and then she asked about drinks and we said our offer through 5pm included a glass of wine.
We were then told we had been given the wrong menu - the menu we had was taken away and a different menu given to us. The starter my husband had chosen was not on this menu and the same for the main course I had chosen, so had to start again - this was a bit disappointing. Did like that the drinks waiter automatically brought a jug of water with your drinks and filled up your glass. Starters good, for mains I had pasta which was fine but my husband had the fish and really needed a side dish as well. I had cheeses which had an extra cost of £2.50 but was lovely and easily would cover two people sharing. My husband sticky toffee pudding but not sure if it was heated in the microwave and had been in a bit longer than necessary but was a bit hard to cut through. Think if I decided to go back to this restaurant would try the A La Carte menu instead of the Pre-Theatre.
