  Delish food

  Ate here on the two steaks and wine for £59. The house white was very good, choice of steaks was also fantastic ribeye, sirloin or fillet!! Came with a lovely salad, roast tomatoes and homemade chips on a side plate. Steak was cooked perfectly and you get the lovely taste of the grill cook too! We both had starters. I had the garlic prawns and my sister had the bang bang prawns. Both were fresh and very tasty - really recommend this place! Servers were really attentive too.

  This was an amazing experience, food was amazing steak cooked to perfection, staff very attentive. Kevin is such an amazing guy and we will defo be back.

American style restaurant in city centre

After a fire in 2011 closed the business, Steak and Cherry relaunched at the Charing Cross end of Sauchiehall Street in 2014. Their opening hours are a big attraction; especially for night owls who want to eat well, no matter how late it is. The decor, service and food all take their cue from the fresh and friendly template set by classic New York diners.

Popular American menu and milkshakes

Steak and Cherry bills itself as serving ‘New York style cocktails, burgers and bites’. It’s snappy but doesn’t quite do justice to the range of dishes on offer. From buffalo wings to banana splits, the kitchen delivers everything needed to keep the munchies at bay.

There are lighter, calorie-counted options for the health conscious including customers from the nearby 24 hour gym. There are also several steaks, burgers and pasta dishes for hungry clubbers and gig-goers. Whether you want a lunchtime panini; an after work pizza or a post-theatre half rack of BBQ baby back ribs, Steak and Cherry is happy to help.

City centre transport and attractions

Charing Cross is the closest rail station to Steak and Cherry’s Sauchiehall Street address. There is limited on-street parking and pay parking at Elmbank Crescent. The King’s Theatre, King Tut’s and O2 ABC concert venues are within a five minute walk.
