Welcoming Italian restaurant in Glasgow city centre
Situated on Bath Street in Glasgow’s City Centre, just around the corner from the Pavilion and Cineworld, Roma is a restaurant offering a blend of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Roma aims to provide high quality food and service, and prides itself on their experienced chefs using the finest of fresh produce to achieve traditional Italian flavours.
The traditional decor, wooden tables and spacious booths adds to Roma’s warm and relaxing atmosphere, and it is also wheelchair accessible. While the restaurant is popular for couples and families alike, Roma can also cater for larger groups.
Varied menu with Italian & Mediterranean dishes
The chefs at Roma use their culinary expertise to create a range of dishes to suit everyone. Some starters featured on the restaurant’s menu include the chicken wings which are slow roasted with garlic, chilli and spices, rosemary and blended fresh tomatoes; or the pane casareccio is a simple yet delicious starter with freshly baked crusty Italian bread served with olives, extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar.
Signature dishes include Roma’s risotto rice tossed with roast chicken and peas with a hint of garlic; the Cajun salmon which is served with salad and dressing; and the penne puttanesca with olives, capers, anchovies, basil and a rich arabiatta sauce.
Bath Street location, Queen Street train station access
Roma is in a prime location on Bath Street in the centre of Glasgow, just yards from Buchanan Galleries and shopping hub Sauchiehall Street. Ideally placed for pre-theatre outings to the Pavilion and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Queen Street train station is a five minute walk away, and Buchanan Street Subway station mere moments from the restaurant. Bus stops can also be found nearby.
