Piccolo Mondo Glasgow Review

  • Rating Rating 5.0/5
Well where do i start? I can't agree more with the previous comment, "possibly the best italian in Glasgow", it most definitely is the best italian ive been to in town. Myself and my wife were there on Sat 26/1 at 17.30 it was pretty quiet when we arrived but by 18.00 it was almost full and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant which was helped by our waiter, special mention must go to Nuno who was excellent throughout our meal and the occasional burst of song helped make this an unforgettable experience. We went for the dine around menu which has a large and varied choice, I had the potted prawns to start which were delicious and the pate was "the best ive ever tasted" according to my wife. We then had salmon fillet and king prawns and the spicy italian sausage and gnocchi, both mains were delicous and the portions were very genourous, this was washed down with a glass of house wine and a bottle of beer, followed by 2 sambucas, all for £15 a head, if you can find a better deal then let me know! This is a MUST visit for all 5pm'ers.
