After receiving the menu another waiter approached and, as we had booked through 5pm, asked what we would like for our complimentary drink ... wine, (I think beer) or a soft drink. My wife had a white wine ... I had red ... very nice. We both had soup ... ministrone ... very tasty and, very important to me, nice and hot. This also came with bread and butter. For the main course my wife had lasagne ... probably the best she has ever tasted! I had the salmon with roast vegetables. A generous cut of salmon cooked to perfection. The roast vegetables were also excellent. Choice of black forest gateau or lemon and meringue pie for the sweet. We both chose the lemon meringue pie. Again, a generous portion and it was nice and tangy. Food was absolutely fabulous and at £11.90 for three courses including a glass of wine very good value. We paid extra for cappuccino ... reasonable price and a good sized cup. Again nice and hot.
