About Pulcinella Restaurant
A night out with friends
Pulcinella is one of our favourite restaurants - great menu, great staff and service and great value for money. Will definitely be returning next time we are going to the city centre and would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who hasn’t yet tried it.
Pulcinella excellent dining experience
Three of us went for the £8.95 lunch menu which included three courses which was fantastic value. For starter we had bruschetta & arancini which we all agreed was very good. Then main courses we had Lasagne which was one of the tastiest I have had in a while, my niece had the steak which was cooked perfectly (med/ rare) for her liking and also the pepperoni pizza had a nice thin crispy base and my brother in law struggled to finish it as it was a good size and filling. For desserts we all had the tiramisu which we would all recommend. This was all washed down with a lovely bottle of house red, then grappa with our espresso. All staff were efficient and very friendly and provided us a great dining experience.
Independent Italian restaurant in Glasgow city centre
An independent restaurant on Hope Street, Pulcinella has long been a city centre favourite for Italian food lovers. Decked out with Italian flags, checked table cloths and large murals, the decor is charmingly traditional.
The set lunch and early evening menus are popular with local workers, shoppers and theatre-goers. As you might expect in an Italian restaurant, a warm welcome seems to have been embedded in the DNA of Pulcinella’s staff.
Italian classics cooked from scratch
At Pulcinella, the food is freshly prepared and served in generous portions. As well as a wide range of thin-based, crispy pizza and traditional pasta choices, Pulcinella serves a popular selection of antipasti, meat and fish classics.
From chicken Parmigiana to steak in a brandy and peppercorn sauce via the house veal, cooked with onions, mushrooms and a cream, there are plenty of carni dishes. Fish lovers are just as well looked after whether diners choose a simple king prawns in garlic butter and white wine or the Mediterranean fish stew which is served with garlic bread.
