Fantastic deal, delicious food and wine!

Not my first visit to the restaurant, because the 5pm deal at Pulcinella is fantastic value for money. The service is great with friendly attentative staff, our waitress was great and top marks for advising 'dessert is compulsory', the ice cream was yummy! The atmosphere is a cosy traditional Italian restaurant and the food is delicious. The 25% discount on house wine is great, and the house red was very nice, a great accompaniment to a delicious meal. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Pulcinella to others.

Independent Italian restaurant in Glasgow city centre

An independent restaurant on Hope Street, Pulcinella has long been a city centre favourite for Italian food lovers. Decked out with Italian flags, checked table cloths and large murals, the decor is charmingly traditional.

The set lunch and early evening menus are popular with local workers, shoppers and theatre-goers. As you might expect in an Italian restaurant, a warm welcome seems to have been embedded in the DNA of Pulcinella’s staff.

Italian classics cooked from scratch

At Pulcinella, the food is freshly prepared and served in generous portions. As well as a wide range of thin-based, crispy pizza and traditional pasta choices, Pulcinella serves a popular selection of antipasti, meat and fish classics.

From chicken Parmigiana to steak in a brandy and peppercorn sauce via the house veal, cooked with onions, mushrooms and a cream, there are plenty of carni dishes. Fish lovers are just as well looked after whether diners choose a simple king prawns in garlic butter and white wine or the Mediterranean fish stew which is served with garlic bread.
