    Lovely Italian - great service

Great wee Italian restaurant in Glasgow, excellent lunch time meal, great value for money, and good choice of dishes to choice from, party of 4 adults and all throughly enjoyed their meal. As a lot of roads were closed in Glasgow due to a March, our friends were late, the staff were very understanding and did not make us feel awkward, all staff were very nice and gave excellent service throughout the time in the establishment. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all, and will definitely will go back in the future.

Independent Italian restaurant in Glasgow city centre

An independent restaurant on Hope Street, Pulcinella has long been a city centre favourite for Italian food lovers. Decked out with Italian flags, checked table cloths and large murals, the decor is charmingly traditional.

The set lunch and early evening menus are popular with local workers, shoppers and theatre-goers. As you might expect in an Italian restaurant, a warm welcome seems to have been embedded in the DNA of Pulcinella’s staff.

Italian classics cooked from scratch

At Pulcinella, the food is freshly prepared and served in generous portions. As well as a wide range of thin-based, crispy pizza and traditional pasta choices, Pulcinella serves a popular selection of antipasti, meat and fish classics.

From chicken Parmigiana to steak in a brandy and peppercorn sauce via the house veal, cooked with onions, mushrooms and a cream, there are plenty of carni dishes. Fish lovers are just as well looked after whether diners choose a simple king prawns in garlic butter and white wine or the Mediterranean fish stew which is served with garlic bread.
