Lovely lunch
We had a lovely lunch in the Pie & Brew. Laid back atmosphere and good service. The pies were delicious and the pastry was the best I've ever tasted! Would definitely recommend & would happily return.

Artisan pie hangout in Glasgow city centre
Tucked away beneath ABode Glasgow on Bath Street, Pie & Brew is a basement restaurant and bar serving the winning combination of speciality pies alongside craft ales. All of the pastry treats are handmade by pie masters on the premises and the speciality beers on offer change weekly. Regular live music, pub quizzes and pie & beer tasting sessions make this a lively hangout that is perfect for a casual get together with friends.
Handmade pies and craft beers
Although the gourmet pie menu can change, it will most likely include braised ale & beef, smoked haddock & spinach and pulled pork, cider & apple. Vegetarians options might be the baked mac & cheese crumble and the vegetarian haggis & beetroot.
You can also add a choice of toppings to your pie, including pork crackling, cheese and crispy shallots. Mash, chips and spicy beans are just some of the sides on offer.
If pies aren’t your thing, then you can try out the fish supper or the classic Angus burger with onion rings, bacon and cheese.
Continuing with the theme, puddings are pie-based too and include banoffee, lemon meringue and Tunnock’s mud.
City centre transport links and attractions
Pie & Brew is bang smack in the heart of the city centre, a five minute stroll from Buchanan Street underground. Both Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations are under a ten minute walk away. If you are driving, you can find paid parking at the nearby NCP on Mitchell Street. The restaurant is handy for Cineworld, the Theatre Royale and the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre.
