An early Friday dinner for me in an almost empty Patisserie Valerie, Royal Exchange Square but what this "tearoom" served up was a great experience and worth so much than £9.95 for two courses. The goats cheese tart was very good but I would have happily paid the whole cost for my superb salmon mousse, crowned by smoked salmon and served with a well dressed salad and some crusty bread. We all had the winter pie with great pastry and filled with tasty beef. This came with a deep circle of mash potato, draped with green beans. All superb!
