Rating Boring high tea (Rating 2.6/5)
I love October for their cocktails and surroundings, so when my mum asked me to take her to high tea, which she had never done, I naturally turned to October. Over the last few days, we had seen many people having afternoon tea everywhere in town, and the selection of cakes was always mouthwatering. We were extremely disappointed when ours arrived. The finger sandwiches were nice but that was it: only one scone per person, a bit sized brownie and a dark coloured mini bite of cake (still don't know what it was). No wow factor whatsoever. I could tell my mum was disappointed, and I felt guilty for taking her to the wrong place. The table next to us ordered cheesecake and it looked lovely. My advice to October would be to mix up their cake selection since they clearly have more appealing things on the menu to play with. High tea should never be dull.
