First time here - would go back

Went here on a recommendation and didn't regret it. Good selection of food for a 5pm deal at a good price. Tasty food and cooked well.

    Great food and service

Booked 5pm menu and this was our first visit. Choice of food on 5pm menu was great and myself and a friend really enjoyed what we chose. Service was great, we sat on for ages and staff came to let us know when kitchen was closing in case we wanted anything else. Even after that we still sat on and the very kind gentleman let us order two pots of tea after the restaurant was officially closed, and never once hassled us to leave. Lovely evening, great food, excellent service, would definitely go back again :-)

Pan Asian restaurant in Glasgow city centre

Obu is a modern pan Asian restaurant located within Princes Square.  Diners can admire the touches of Asian inspiration that colour the contemporary decor while relaxing in the restaurant’s comfortable booth seating. The second floor location gives diners the option of eating on the terrace – all the atmosphere of dining al fresco without the possibility of rain.

Asian tapas menu

Obu’s most recent menu specialises in tapas-size portions so diners can try lots of different dishes. Among the selection of Obu street tapas are options such as the teriyaki salmon, chicken satay skewers and shredded vegetable spring rolls with a sweet chilli dipping sauce. From Malaysian fish curry to Thai Massaman beef curry, there is a good range of small curry choices. Of course, there is also a variety of noodle and wok dishes available as main courses. The drinks menu is influenced by South East Asia with tantalising fruit cocktails, Japanese beers and wines, all specially selected to compliment the flavour and spices of the food.

City centre transport links and attractions

Obu is on the second floor of Princes Square shopping centre on Buchanan Street. Glasgow Central and Queen Street railway stations are a five minute walk. The nearest Subway stations are Buchanan Street and St Enoch. There are numerous pay car parks, taxi ranks and bus stops nearby.
