I stay at this hotel often on business, and the bar food is good and service pretty good. I was looking forward to trying their "upscale" restaurant Morblas, so I booked a reservation during my most recent stay. I'm sure at one time this restaurant was very attractive, but now it is starting to look a little tired, with worn tables and a faded look. The team of wait staff was ok, but not what you'd expect in this level of service. One server seemed quite annoyed that our party was asking questions about the special offer menu, which seemed a good value, but we wound up paying a lot more to get what we really wanted. The special offer menu of 3 courses for 23 pounds was very limited, only 2 appetizers to choose from or soup, and only 3 entrees to choose from, none of them stellar. We paid extra to get a steak, which was ok but not special, and paid extra again to get a decent dessert, as the ones offered in the special were again very limited. I doubt I would try Morblas again, but just eat in the bar where the menu is more extensive and the staff much more friendly.
