Lucky 7 Canteen Review

  • Rating Not the best experience I've had here (Rating 3/5)
I've been here dozens of times. I regularly rave about the food and the service but this time it was all below par. Had a booking but we were made to wait for 15 minutes while "our table was ready" there were free tables! We weren't asked if we wanted a drink while we waited at the bar and the girl serving us was no where near as friendly as the staff that normally work here. Value for money it's great 2 courses each and a bottle of wine for 2 people was £24. The wine was beyond amazing and much better than you'd expect with this deal. The ham terrine was pretty bland and the chicken and walnut salad was quite plain too. If you're going order something hearty as these seem to be the best dishes and I was watching my waistline for the first time here. I'll go back because it's been a fave of mine for ages and deserves another chance but it better step it up!
