Rating An old favourite (Rating 3.6/5)
We have enjoyed countless meals in the previous restaurant, rarely did it disappoint. The new set up is very similar, stylish and welcoming. The market menu choices are limited but no supplements. Starters were tasty and well presented but my feta with watermelon was meager. I had rump steak for main and it was delicious, well cooked and the fries were very good. The chicken dish was messy and the flavours clanged. The only other dish we had was the hake and it certainly looked better, served with some style. We all had the Cremeux for dessert and it was beautiful in appearance, taste and texture. My main concerns were due to the arrangements to keep patrons safe in light of Covid. The tables were set at the same distance as before, too close in my opinion. No screens were placed between them and guests were seated in adjacent tables even when there were vacant tables at a distance. I was very conscious of people passing me too close and sitting less than a metre away. Very few wore masks when moving about. The waiters did, but ours was worn below his nose. There was plenty of hand sanitizer.
