Generally a fair enough meal from the good value early evening menu, which started really well with lovely pate. However the main course left a lot to be desired. The beef stew in pepper was so peppery it was impossible to taste any other flavour, sadly. The waiter tried to sell us Prosecco which we didn't want and the most expensive wines on the list, which I found disappointing. The ladies toilets were all out of order, leaving only the 1 disabled toilet for use. On the positive side, the staff were very attentive and although the booking stated we had to give the table back after 2 hours, we were not put under any pressure to leave and were there for 4.5 and had a good night.
