We were meeting up with friends and the Elia seemed like a good central meeting place. We arrived early and were promptly shown a table and served drinks bread and olives. We all had different starters, which were thoroughly enjoyed, in my case Whitebait with a garlic mayonnaise. Our main course had only one fault, the portion of Stefado I had was massive, the sauce was one of the best I've tasted but I struggled on, making sure I didn't waste a drop. Everybody enjoyed their meal and we were not rushed in any way, which was a pleasant change for a Saturday night. After a couple of bottles of wine and a few beers and coffee we all said the Elia had been a great success.
