Sorry, Dim Sum doesn't currently have online booking on 5pm :(
Opened in early 2015, Dim Sum Restaurant is on West Nile Street in Glasgow city centre. With a ground floor and a mezzanine level, it is a welcoming and contemporary space for fans of Asian fusion food. Ideal for lunch, a mid-afternoon shopping stopover, a pre-theatre meal or dinner for two, Dim Sum Restaurant is there whenever you need a char siu bun.
The Dim Sum Restaurant name gives a fair indication of the menu but doesn’t tell the whole story. From pork dumplings to crispy rolls with prawns, there are plenty of dim sum on offer but they sit beside build-your-own noodle bowls; rice bowls with fillings such as duck and bean sprout plus gua bao. The latter are Hong Kong style flat breads with fillings like char sui pulled pork and hoi sin vegetables.
The kitchen also lives up to its fusion tag. Smoked haddock and leek dumplings; mango and avocado crostini plus Scallop and Stornoway black pudding wontons demonstrate the chefs’ crossover ambitions.
With a West Nile Street address, Dim Sum Restaurant is convenient for city centre attractions such as the Pavilion and Royal theatres as well as the shops of Buchanan and Argyle Street. Both Queen Street and Central railway stations are within a five minute walk. Pay parking is available nearby at both NCP and municipal facilities.
