Di Maggio's (Theatreland) Review

  • Rating Disappointed (Rating 2.8/5)
Really disappointed with our meal. Di Maggio's was somewhere where you were normally guaranteed a tasty bowl of pasta or yummy pizza. I ordered the meatballs and spaghetti. The sauce tasted like thick tomato puree and the meatballs were made of poor quality meat. The only nice thing was the spaghetti itself. My partner's spicy pizza looked tasty but obviously wasn't up to much as normally he would have demolished the whole pizza but managed a third. Whilst not being fussy at all, he did state that the pizza did not taste nice. Waitress did not enquire if there was anything wrong when she took the plates away. My friends risotto looked unappetising and dried out. The sweet potato fries were the nicest thing that we had that evening. I have been coming to Di Maggio's for over 30 years. Sadly food appears to be going downhill and I don't think we'll be back.
