Located on the second floor of Princes Square on Glasgow’s Buchanan Street, Cranachan is an inviting mix of modern design and locally-produced food. Antler chandeliers and walls decorated by Glasgow’s famous Timorous Beasties design studio confidently set the stage for the contemporary Scottish cuisine served in Cranachan.
Open for breakfast until early evening during the week, and until late on Fridays and Saturdays, Cranachan is a great showcase for local ingredients. From the Stornoway black pudding and Ayrshire bacon used in the breakfasts to the traditional haggis, neeps and tatties, the menu proudly flies the flag for Scottish produce.
Traditional dishes are well represented by choices like the Cullen skink soup but modern trends are equally in evidence thanks to deli sharing platters; seasonal salads and dishes like the teriyaki salmon. The appealing sandwich selection is often a hit at lunch or diners are welcome to drop in for just a scone and cup of tea. The house afternoon tea and signature Cranachan dessert are always hugely popular.
Cranachan is part of Princes Square, located right in the centre of one of Glasgow’s main shopping areas, Buchanan Street. Glasgow Central and Queen Street railway stations are a five minute walk. The nearest Subway stations are Buchanan Street and St Enochs. There are numerous pay car park, taxi ranks and bus stops near Cranachan in Glasgow city centre.
