Striking Mediterranean city centre restaurant
Part of the architecturally-ambitious Radisson Blu Hotel in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre, Collage Restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with a Scottish twist.
The restaurant has one of the most interesting interiors in Glasgow – the walls are lined with twenty-six paintings, each representing a letter from A to Z, and were created by British pop art maestro Sir Peter Blake, the man who, among many other projects, produced The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s album cover.
The food at Collage Restaurant is no less striking and appeals to many a hotel traveller and Glasgow native.
Mediterranean and Scottish fusion
Mediterranean and Scottish fusion is what Collage Restaurant aim for and is exactly what the Glasgow city centre restaurant serves. The crossover is most obvious in dishes like the wild mushroom and broccoli tartlet, Manchego shavings, soubise and warm herb dressing. The rib eye and sirloin steaks are always popular choices, and come with Gaurette potatoes, onion rings, sautéed mushrooms and a choice of Béarnaise, peppercorn and Bordelaise sauces or garlic butter.
To finish, the Scottish cheeses or peach melba with poached peach, vanilla parfait and raspberry sauce are outstanding. Exactly the sort of innovative dishes that make Collage Restaurant such a popular choice in Glasgow.
Close to Central Station
Collage is right in the city centre and only a couple of minutes walk from Glasgow’s Central Station. There is a taxi rank conveniently located outside the Radisson Blu as well as many bus routes nearby. St Enoch underground station is a five minute walk away.
