We booked this restaurant based on the recommendations from previous customers on 5pm and we were not disappointed! The exterior of the restaurant is quite drab and off putting and looks more like a late night takeaway that would be visited after a night in the pub, but once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The decor is by no means fancy but it is cosy and welcoming and we were welcomed by the staff as soon as we arrived. I had happened to mention that it was my friend's birthday when I phoned to change the time of the booking and so we were pleased to find our table had been decorated with some balloons and a Happy birthday banner. The food itself was lovely, the chicken pakora delicious, nice light crispy batter and not a luminous pink sauce in sight. The tandoori style lamb chops were really popular with all of us and there were 3 chops in the starter so we all got to try! The main courses were equally nice but we were unable to finish them as the starter portions were so generous. This was all finished off with a little birthday cake presented by the waiters with a rendition of Happy birthday and then a photo of the birthday boy with said cake gifted to him in a frame. All in all an unexpected great night out and great value for money.
