Having heard all the good things about this restaurant and also having visited Cafe Source Too in the West End, I was really looking forward to this visit - and I was not disappointed. The food was superb - 2 of us had the goats cheese starter which was delicious. The 3rd person had the ham terrine and thoroughly enjoyed it. We all had different mains - I opted for the pork belly, never having had it before and it was very tender, moist and tasty. The black pudding, apple and creamed cabbage was a super accompaniement too. My friends had the beef which was melt in the mouth and the salmon with risotto, which was also declared scrummy. After a little break we all had the creme brulee dessert with raspberries and shortbread. Was full to bursting but very satisfied! The wine with the offer was also very palatable - we wanted white and a choice of chardonnay or sauvignon blanc was offered. Very chilled and hit the mark! We sat and chatted for ages as we hadn't seen each other for a while and there was no rushing us out. Service was attentive and without being intrusive, ideal! Have only given a 4 for ambience as it is a large restaurant and quietened down quickly later on. Don't suppose you get a lot of passing trade in that area but it was very busy at the start of the night, which says a lot for its reputation. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great food, wine and service - what more could you want?
