Cafe Andaluz City Centre Review

  • Rating Relaxed meal for 2 (Rating 2.6/5)
Restaurant was extremely busy. We have been to both the Cafe Andaluz restaurants in Glasgow several times and were looking forward to a relaxed meal. Sadly the food and service was not up to the usual excellent standard. There were at least 2 waiters just standing around chatting when our plates were clearly empty and we had finished our meal. All our dishes were either lukewarm or cold and the goats cheese was not good at all. My sweet potato dish was really dry and hard to eat with hardly any sauce on it at all. The puddings were disappointing as well. My tuile basket that had mediocre vanilla ice cream in it was burnt around the edges and stuck to the plate with horrid tasting cream. Due to the extremely crowded restaurant and restricted time we did not complain but do not think we will return in a hurry. A great sadness as we have always had such good food in the past.
