Cafe Andaluz City Centre Review

  • Rating Rushed! (Rating 3.8/5)
I have dined here several times previously and 3 times recently. We were told the table had to be back within 1 hr 45 mins. Fair enough. But during our meal we were surrounded by waiters who swooped at every empty plate like a flock of vultures. They never asked if we were finished even though some of the dishes had garnish/ sauce etc still on them. They then thrust the bill at us 10 minutes short of their deadline, without even asking whether we would like coffee! I understand that it was a Saturday and probably a rush expected in anticipation of the fireworks display that night. But there were empty tables around us and I saw no reason for the overzealous staff. It's unusual as they are normally very relaxed. On this occasion we were made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome and cheated. Pity really. As usual, can't fault the food.
