Cafe Andaluz City Centre Review

  • Rating Cafe Andaluz - I wouldn't go back (Rating 2.2/5)
When we arrived with our voucher we were immediately shown to possibly the worst seat in the house; closest to the door and right in between the staff till and bar/dish washing area. The staff wasted no time in asking if we'd like drinks. After requesting water, in less than 2 mins another waitress appeared with an irritated demeanor asking "would you like drinks or is it just water?" We said, "just water for now", then went on to discuss allergy requirements. Her attitude soon seemed to shift and she assured me they would be able to provide something suitable. After leaving the table with our food order I grabbed her attention to request a pitcher of Sangria. As we had a spot right beside the bar we were able to observe their method: a glass of wine, chopped fruit, fanta and ice all thrown into a jug. I'm no Spaniard but I would hardly call that authentic. The food was quickly turned out and of standard quality. Overall their service really let them down and the food was pretty average. I wouldn't go back.
