Cafe Andaluz City Centre Review

  • Rating Average Flavours, and Smaller Portions (Rating 3/5)
I've been a long-time customer of Cafe Andaluz, usually frequenting the west end restaurant, but recently visited the city centre one before the cinema, using a "Big Deal" voucher from 5pm. The food was genuinely very average, and the portion sizes are much smaller than when purchasing from the main menu. Either that, or they've downsized the food in general. We were particularly disappointed with the meatballs, which were tiny, and the chicken thighs which were just very bland. Finally, the dessert portion sizes are massively downsized as well. The chocolate mousse cake, which used to arrive as a huge two-inch-thick slab, was now a much smaller flat cheesecake-looking thing. I don't know if the portion sizes are intentionally made smaller for the Big Deal menu, but either way, we were very disappointed, especially as I'd bought more than one voucher for future use!
