We were really looking forward to eating in this well-established restaurant but it left a poor impression. All four of us had the asparagus with salmon and poached egg for starter. All of the eggs were overcooked and consequently not very palatable. For main course, two had trout, one had lamb chop and the other had haddock and chips. The trout was dried up and bland. The chop was tasty enough but dry and the haddock was average. We would have made our disappointment known to the staff but they were not easy to get a hold of. Indeed, we had to wait about half an hour to order coffee!
