Rock ‘n’ roll bar in Glasgow city centre

Sporting a distinct American swagger, Buck’s Bar is on West Regent Street in the heart of Glasgow city centre. ‘Chicken, liquor and rock ‘n’ roll’ is the motto around these parts and there is live music from Thursday to Sunday at Buck’s. A basement bar, Buck’s has plenty of booths to chill in. The wooden plank walls give it all an authentic honky tonk feel and there are lots of American beers and bourbons on the drinks list should you really wish to get in character.

Buttermilk fried chicken and more

Buttermilk fried chicken and Nashville hot chicken, both made with free range birds, are at the heart of the Buck’s Bar menu. The kitchen uses healthy rapeseed oil – high in omega 3 – for all its frying. A variety of wings, waffles, chicken burgers and chopped salad platters complete the savoury line-up. There is a wide range of chilli hot sauces for customers to try and these range from lip-tingling to mind-altering.

If y’all have a sweet tooth then you may wish to leave space for desserts such as the Alabama fudge cake or the deep dish apple pie.

City centre transport and attractions

Buck’s Bar is on the corner of West Regent and Wellington Streets. There is limited on-street parking and there is a car park on Bath Street. Queen Street and Central stations are a brisk five minute walk. Local attractions include Cineworld and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
