The starter of sauteed mushrooms brioche was tasty but the main meal was just OK. It wasn't fantastic and didn't make us say "mmmmm". I had the vegetarian haggis, neeps and tatties and my other half had seared grey mullet (which was quite short on portion). The creme brullee (which I consider myself to be quite a connoisseur of!) however, was very nice.
The restaurant is nice inside and even though we had a conservatory seat, it was quite cool, despite the outside temperature being in the 20's.
I wouldn't rush back here as I think there are restaurants providing better food, but it is value for money.
