About Brasserie on George Square - Millennium Hotel
My first visit and won't be my last
Haggis for starters was delicious and sea bass for main course was superb. Portions were fab and more than enough. The staff were excellent, we have no complaints whatsoever. Looking forward to going back to this lovely restaurant.
Lovely venue. Food was delicious and good size portions. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu ( I am gluten free) and was immediately able to offer alternatives that were suitable and he was both friendly and attentive. The strawberry and cucumber mojito is amazing. Cant wait to return.
Modern Scottish brasserie on George Square
Brasserie on George Square is part of the Millennium Hotel in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre, serving modern Scottish cooking and overlooking the statues and surrounding Victorian architecture of George Square. Despite its historic surroundings, Brasserie on George Square has a contemporary interior design and prides itself on its professional service, which sets out to relax customers, ensuring they have everything they need to enjoy their meal.
Finest Scottish ingredients, modernised traditional dishes
The Brasserie on George Square brings the best Scottish ingredients to Glasgow’s city centre and cooks them in a manner which elegantly blends tradition with new ideas. Local and seasonal sourcing are the watchwords here, which means scallops from Loch Fyne, smoked salmon from the Shetlands and Ayrshire lamb.
The kitchen is particularly proud of its 28 day aged beef from the Mey estate in Caithness. The ingredients are used in dishes as traditional as the braised shin of beef with caramelised onions and a wholegrain mustard mash or in more contemporary combinations such as the scallops with broad bean puree and a pancetta crisp.
Next to Queen Street rail station in Glasgow city centre
As popular with a loyal band of local regulars as it is with visitors to Glasgow, the Brasserie on George Square is a great city centre choice. Located right next to Queen Street rail station, the brasserie is ideally located for diners who wish to take in the best architecture and shopping experiences Glasgow has to offer, with just a short to Merchant City and Buchanan Street.
