Elegant brasserie in the city centre
Located within the swish Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel, Bo & Birdy is the first Scottish 5-star hotel restaurant to be overseen by a female executive chef. This modern brasserie has been filtered through a traditional Scottish lens, with a menu showcasing the best of our natural larder. Inside, the decor is all soft, minimalist elegance with a flourish of Art Deco charm.
Gourmet showcase of Scotland’s larder
The menu at Bo & Birdy is an artfully rustic love letter to our country and coast.
Menus can change seasonally, but sample starters include Ardunan Farm pork pie with pickles and mustard, and hand-dived scallop ceviche with pink grapefruit and fennel.
From the mains, choices feature Ardunan Farm pork cutlet with Stornoway black pudding and apple; line-caught cod with burnt leek, oyster leaf and chicken wing, and 8oz dry-aged Bo fillet steak with skin-on fries and peppercorn sauce.
Vegetarians can dine on St. Andrews Farmhouse Cheddar macaroni cheese, or roasted celeriac with Scottish mushroom polenta and broad beans. Additionally, there are a few sharing plate options.
For dessert, expect delights such as bitter chocolate delice with cherry, vanilla and cocoa nib, or salted caramel pudding with glazed banana and fudge ice cream.
All dishes are accompanied by an extensive wine selection celebrating the best of Californian and French vineyards.
