About Benihana

Japanese steakhouse in the city centre

Benihana is a family of Asian steakhouse restaurants with an entertaining twist. In this West Nile Street branch — the first in Scotland — diners can enjoy teppanyaki griddle dishes while immersed in theatrical open kitchen presentations. The restaurant has a total of 9 teppan tables, where you can sit around a chef as they prepare food on a hotplate while chopping and juggling the ingredients.

Teppanyaki dishes, sushi and small plates

As well as meat and seafood cooked up on a teppanyaki iron griddle, Benihana’s menu features a range of other favourites, such as sushi and gyoza. A hibachi charcoal cooker is also used for many of the main dishes, giving them a smoky flavour.

Traditional choices include hibachi aged tenderloin steak; Japanese or Australian wagyu beef; hibachi chicken with teriyaki sauce, and hibachi prawns grilled in lemon & butter.

Or why not opt for a speciality option, such as the Shogun’s Feast of hibachi steak & juicy prawns or the Benihana Royal, an epic combination of chateaubriand, scallops and lobster tail?

West Nile Street attractions

Slap-bang in the heart of Glasgow, Benihana is easy to reach from both Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations, plus Cineworld and the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall are five minutes away by foot. If you are driving, then you can find pay parking just around the corner at the NCP on Mitchell Street.
