Having been to this restaurant before when I saw the deal for rotisserie chicken with 3 sides and sauces and grand dessert working out at £12.50 a head I jumped at the offer.
We all agreed that the food was lovely - and we ordered all 6 sides and shared and opted for fries on the side. Interesting cocktails and mocktails on offer we had FRENCH ‘N ‘STORMY £7.95 Bacardi Oakheart, Calvados, ginger beer, apple shrub and apple juice. A tropical classic with an undeniably French attitude and it was lovely. I was surprised that the Grand dessert was a piece of cheesecake and a glass filled with a lemon posset. In my experience of other restaurants serving grand dessert - it is all the desserts on the menu - in mini form so you get to taste all of them bite size. There was nothing wrong with either of them - we all preferred the posset - more a disappointment we only got to try 2 desserts. The one thing that we all disliked was the noise level - there was a party of 8 behind us and they were very loud to the point we couldn't hear each other talking. This is a big restaurant - and the other half was empty -I wished we had been sitting in that half. Other than that we all really enjoyed our visit - we all commented on how clean everything was - especially the toilets.
