Atlantic Brasserie Review

  • Rating Great meal, lovely restaurant (Rating 4.4/5)
This was my first visit to Atlantic Brasserie. I was really impressed with the décor. The 5.p.m. deal of two courses for £14.95 was great value as the food was lovely and beautifully cooked - I had a roasted globe artichoke to start, followed by a stuffed pork belly cassoulet. We added on a dessert each and these were the only slight disappointment. The crème brulee was overcooked (the custard was too stiff) and really cold. We ordered gin and tonics to start and were told that these came as doubles because they were served in a large goblet. This ws ok for us but may not have suited everyone. By the time we had a glass of wine each, the drinks bill was pretty hefty compared to the food. I would certainly go again but will bear in mind that despite the good value 5.p.m. deal it can be an expensive meal.
