My friend and I booked the Celtic connections Dine around 3 courses menu. We arrived at 6.30pm within 10mins, we had been approached 3 times by friendly staff asking if we were ready to order drinks yet. We ordered a nice wine and our food order was taken and arrived quickly. Lovely- no issues with the starter or mains. We had finished our mains and whilst chatting, we realised that it was now 9.15pm and we had sat with empty wine glasses for an hour and no one had come with a dessert menu. I caught the eye of a man who appeared to be a head waiter and said that we hadn't received dessert menu. He looked completed disinterested and ran off saying he'd see to it. A waiter then arrived with 2 desserts. We said we were still waiting to look at the dessert menu so they weren't ours. He went off and checked and returned saying they were ours. We said no again. He went to head waiter, who swiftly took the two plates from him and plonked them in front of us saying, "These are yours. There is no choice!" (Celtic Connection Menu did say a choice of desserts.) We complained to him about his rude treatment as I was really upset by the unfairness. He then asked if we would like tea or coffee for free but did not apologise. The place was really busy and I get that it may have been stressful but my night was soured by his unfair treatment of us.
